Hoe bevestig ik een hangende kunstplant?
De meeste hangende kunstplanten worden geleverd met een ophangkoord of ketting. Voor plafondbevestiging heb je een plafondhaak nodig. In gipsplafonds gebruik je speciale gipsplaatpluggen (molly's) die het gewicht kunnen dragen. Boor een gat, plaats de plug, schroef de haak erin. Voor betonplafonds heb je een klopboor en pluggen nodig. Als je niet in het plafond wilt boren, zijn wandbeugels een alternatief – de plant hangt dan vanaf een beugel aan de muur. Gemiddelde kunsthangplant weegt 0,5-1,5kg, dus geen zware bevestiging vereist. We leveren op aanvraag ook installatie-instructies met geschikt plugtypes per plafondmateriaal.
Hoeveel weegt een hangende kunstplant gemiddeld?
Hangende kunstplanten wegen gemiddeld tussen 400 gram en 2kg, afhankelijk van de grootte en het type. Kleine succulenten en compacte varens (50-60cm) wegen meestal 400-800 gram. Grotere, volle planten zoals Pothos of Boston Varen (80-100cm) wegen 1-1,5kg. Inclusief pot en hangconstructie kan dit oplopen tot 2kg voor zeer grote exemplaren. Dit is belangrijk voor je plafondbevestiging – check altijd het maximale gewicht dat jouw pluggen of haak kunnen dragen. Bij elk product vermelden we het exacte gewicht inclusief pot en ophangconstructie. Voor referentie: standaard plafondpluggen dragen gemakkelijk 5-10kg, dus veilig voor alle kunsthangplanten.
Zijn hangplanten inclusief ophanghaak?
De meeste van onze hangplanten worden geleverd inclusief ophangkoord of ketting waarmee je ze kunt ophangen. De daadwerkelijke plafond- of wandhaak is meestal NIET inbegrepen, omdat het type haak afhangt van jouw plafond/muurmateriaal (gips, beton, hout). We adviseren welk type plug en haak geschikt is (deze zijn verkrijgbaar bij elke bouwmarkt voor €2-5). Sommige premium hangplanten worden wel compleet geleverd met decoratieve ophanghaak en bevestigingsmateriaal – dit staat duidelijk bij de productbeschrijving vermeld. Als je twijfelt over de benodigde bevestiging, neem contact op en we adviseren op basis van jouw situatie.
Welke hangplanten zijn het meest realistisch?
De meest realistische hangplanten zijn die met veel texture en natuurlijke variatie in de bladeren. Onze top 3 qua realisme:
1) Boston Varen – heeft honderden kleine blaadjes met natuurlijke kleurvariatie en lijkt precies op de echte versie.
2) English Ivy – de bladeren hebben realistische nervatuur en natuurlijke kleurschakeringen.
3) Pothos – gladde bladeren met natuurlijk uitziende variatie in grootte en kleur.
Wat ze realistisch maakt: meerdere groentinten (niet effen kleur), natuurlijke blade imperfecties (iets verschil in vorm), en beweging in de ranken (niet te perfect symmetrisch). Alle worden gemaakt van high-quality silk materiaal dat het zachte van echte bladeren imiteert.
Kunnen hangplanten in een badkamer hangen?
Absoluut, en we raden het zelfs aan! Hangende kunstplanten zijn ideaal voor badkamers, ook die zonder raam. Ze hebben geen licht of verse lucht nodig. Het vocht in de badkamer helpt zelfs om stof weg te houden van de bladeren. Hang ze boven het bad, naast de spiegel, of in een hoek voor een spa-achtige sfeer. Kies voor planten met gladde bladeren (zoals Pothos of Ivy) die gemakkelijk schoon te houden zijn mocht er zich waterdamp op verzamelen. Vermijd alleen direct water contact – hang ze niet direct onder de showerhead. Voor extra lang leven in vochtige badkamers spoelen we aan om de 3-4 maanden even af te spoelen en volledig te laten drogen.
Hoe lang zijn de ranken van hangplanten?
De ranken van onze hangplanten variëren van 40cm tot 100cm lengte. De meest populaire lengte is 60-80cm – lang genoeg voor mooi effect maar niet zo lang dat ze in de weg hangen. Bij elk product vermelden we de totale hoogte inclusief pot tot de punt van de langste rank. Sommige ranken zijn flexibel positioneerbaar – je kunt ze iets oprollen of juist uitspreiden naar wens. Voor extra lange ranken (100cm+) check onze 'Long Trailing' subcategorie. Wil je korter? Sommige ranken kunnen voorzichtig ingekort worden (knip aan de achterkant waar het niet zichtbaar is). Gemiddeld 70cm lengte werkt voor de meeste plafond hoogtes (250-270cm).
Kan ik hangplanten ook neerzetten in plaats van ophangen?
Ja, veel van onze hangplanten zijn ook prachtig om neer te zetten! Plaats ze op een hoge kast, boekenplank of plantenstandaard waar de ranken mooi naar beneden kunnen hangen. Dit geeft hetzelfde cascaderende effect zonder dat je hoeft te boren. Voor neerzetten adviseren we wel een decoratieve pot (niet de standaard ophangpot die vaak simpel is). Sommige mensen plaatsen ze ook in een wandschap of op een plank naast een raam. Het voordeel van neerzetten: makkelijk bereikbaar voor afstoffen en je kunt ze eenvoudig verplaatsen. Nadeel: neemt vloer/plankruimte in. Voor flexibiliteit kun je een plant soms ophangen, soms neerzetten afhankelijk van je mood.
